Applications and conditions

Where to start

These starting conditions come from the recommended dilution, validation images, and general assay practice. Titrate for your sample and detection system.

WB Conditions for WB
Recommended dilution 1:200 - 1:2000
Suggested sample / positive control Mouse liver,Mouse kidney,Rat liver
Key conditions Use a fresh lysate, incubate at the recommended dilution, and check the predicted and observed molecular weight
Expected result Expected signal or band near 115kDa
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control

Target data

Background This gene encodes the protein subunit of two different small nucleolar ribonucleoprotein complexes: the endoribonuclease for mitochondrial RNA processing complex and the ribonuclease P complex. The encoded protein is a ribonuclease that localizes to the nucleus and functions in pre-RNA processing. This protein is also an autoantigen in patients suffering from connective tissue diseases. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
Gene ID 10940
Gene name POP1
Swiss Q99575
Synonym POP1,ANXD2,POP1 Rabbit pAb,KIAA0061
Functions Component of ribonuclease P, a protein complex that generates mature tRNA molecules by cleaving their 5'-ends. Also a component of RNase MRP.
