Applications and conditions

Where to start

These starting conditions come from the recommended dilution, validation images, and general assay practice. Titrate for your sample and detection system.

WB Conditions for WB
Recommended dilution 1:500 - 1:2000
Suggested sample / positive control 无明确组织表达
Key conditions Use a fresh lysate, incubate at the recommended dilution, and check the predicted and observed molecular weight
Expected result Expected signal or band near 35kDa/48kDa/51kDa
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control
IF/ICC Conditions for IF/ICC
Recommended dilution 1:50 - 1:200
Suggested sample / positive control 无明确组织表达
Key conditions Optimize fixation, permeabilization, and blocking, and include a secondary-only control
Expected result Expected fluorescence localization: Membrane,Mitochondrion outer membrane,Single-pass type I membrane protein
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control

Target data

Background METAXINs are proteins located in the outer membrane of the mammalian mitochondrion. METAXIN 1 was characterized firstly and was found to play a role in the import of mitochondrial precursor proteins. It may also play a role in the assembly of b-barrel proteins into the outer membrane METAXIN1 was reported to be essential for survival of the postimplantation mouse embryo. METAXIN 1 has multiple transcripts. The full length one has 466 amino acids, with calculated MW of 62 kda. Metaxin 1 interacts with metaxin 2, a novel related protein associated with the mammalian mitochondrial outer membrane and form complex in the mitochondrion outer membrane.
Gene ID 4580
Gene name MTX1
Swiss Q13505
Synonym MTX1,MTX,MTXN,metaxin-1,MTX1 Rabbit pAb,Mitochondrial outer membrane import complex protein 1
