Applications and conditions

Where to start

These starting conditions come from the recommended dilution, validation images, and general assay practice. Titrate for your sample and detection system.

WB Conditions for WB
Recommended dilution 1:500 - 1:2000
Suggested sample / positive control mouse brain
Key conditions Use a fresh lysate, incubate at the recommended dilution, and check the predicted and observed molecular weight
Expected result Expected signal or band near 57kDa
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control

Immunogen

Immunogen A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 200-300 of human LEMD2 (NP_851853.1).

Target data

Background This gene encodes a LEM domain-containing transmembrane protein of the inner nuclear membrane. The protein is involved in nuclear structure organization and plays a role in cell signaling and differentiation. Mutations in this gene result in Cataract 46, juvenile-onset. Multiple transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2017]
Gene ID 221496
Gene name LEMD2
Swiss Q8NC56
Synonym CTRCT42,NET25,dJ482C21.1,LEMD2,LEMD2 Rabbit pAb
Expression Ubiquitously expressed, including bone marrow, brain, kidney, colon, skeletal muscle, thymus, testis and uterus.
Functions Involved in nuclear structure organization (PubMed:16339967). Required for maintaining the integrity of the nuclear envelope (PubMed:17097643).
