Applications and conditions

Where to start

These starting conditions come from the recommended dilution, validation images, and general assay practice. Titrate for your sample and detection system.

WB Conditions for WB
Recommended dilution 1:200 - 1:2000
Suggested sample / positive control A-549,Mouse heart,Mouse skeletal muscle,Rat skeletal muscle
Key conditions Use a fresh lysate, incubate at the recommended dilution, and check the predicted and observed molecular weight
Expected result Expected signal or band near 68kDa
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control

Target data

Background This gene is a member of the kelch-like family. The encoded protein contains a BACK domain, a BTB/POZ domain, and 5 Kelch repeats. This protein is thought to function in skeletal muscle development and maintenance. Mutations in this gene have been associated with nemaline myopathy (NM), a rare congenital muscle disorder.
Gene ID 10324
Gene name KLHL41
Swiss O60662
Synonym KLHL41,KBTBD10,Krp1,SARCOSIN,KLHL41 Rabbit pAb,Kel-like protein 23,Kelch repeat and BTB domain-containing protein 10,Kelch-related protein 1
Expression Sarcomeric muscle.
Functions Involved in skeletal muscle development and differentiation. Regulates proliferation and differentiation of myoblasts and plays a role in myofibril assembly by promoting lateral fusion of adjacent thin fibrils into mature, wide myofibrils. Required for pseudopod elongation in transformed cells.
