Applications and conditions

Where to start

These starting conditions come from the recommended dilution, validation images, and general assay practice. Titrate for your sample and detection system.

WB Conditions for WB
Recommended dilution 1:200 - 1:2000
Suggested sample / positive control A-549,Jurkat,22Rv1
Key conditions Use a fresh lysate, incubate at the recommended dilution, and check the predicted and observed molecular weight
Expected result Expected signal or band near 46kDa
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control

Immunogen

Target data

Background This gene encodes a member of the C-type lectin superfamily. The encoded protein is a secreted sulfated glycoprotein and functions as a growth factor for primitive hematopoietic progenitor cells. An alternative splice variant has been described but its biological nature has not been determined.
Gene ID 6320
Gene name CLEC11A
Swiss Q9Y240
Synonym CLEC11A,CLECSF3,LSLCL,P47,SCGF,CLEC11A Rabbit pAb,C-type lectin superfamily member 3,Lymphocyte secreted C-type lectin,Osteolectin,Stem cell growth factor
Expression Expressed in skeletal tissues including bone marrow, chondrocytes, primary ossification center-associated cells, the perichondrium and periosteum. Lower levels of expression were detected in spleen, thymus, appendix and fetal liver.
Functions Promotes osteogenesis by stimulating the differentiation of mesenchymal progenitors into mature osteoblasts (PubMed:27976999). Important for repair and maintenance of adult bone (By similarity).
