Applications and conditions

Where to start

These starting conditions come from the recommended dilution, validation images, and general assay practice. Titrate for your sample and detection system.

WB Conditions for WB
Recommended dilution 1:500 - 1:2000
Suggested sample / positive control U-87MG,HeLa
Key conditions Use a fresh lysate, incubate at the recommended dilution, and check the predicted and observed molecular weight
Expected result Expected signal or band near 13kDa
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control
IHC Conditions for IHC
Recommended dilution 1:50 - 1:100
Suggested sample / positive control U-87MG,HeLa
Key conditions For paraffin sections, optimize retrieval buffer pH, retrieval time, and primary incubation
Expected result Expected localization: Endoplasmic reticulum membrane,Golgi apparatus,Golgi apparatus membrane,Single-pass type IV membrane protein,cis-Golgi network membrane
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control

Target data

Background This gene encodes a golgi-associated membrane protein that participates in vesicular transport from the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) to the Golgi complex. The encoded protein functions as a soluble N-ethylaleimide-sensitive factor attachment protein receptor and may be involved in the docking of ER-derived vesicles with the cis-Golgi membrane. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
Gene ID 10282
Gene name BET1
Swiss O15155
Synonym BET1,HBET1,BET1 Rabbit pAb,Golgi vesicular membrane-trafficking protein p18
Functions Required for vesicular transport from the ER to the Golgi complex. Functions as a SNARE involved in the docking process of ER-derived vesicles with the cis-Golgi membrane (By similarity).
