Applications and conditions

Where to start

These starting conditions come from the recommended dilution, validation images, and general assay practice. Titrate for your sample and detection system.

WB Conditions for WB
Recommended dilution 1:500 - 1:2000
Suggested sample / positive control MCF7,B cells,HepG2
Key conditions Use a fresh lysate, incubate at the recommended dilution, and check the predicted and observed molecular weight
Expected result Expected signal or band near 36kDa
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control
IHC Conditions for IHC
Recommended dilution 1:50 - 1:200
Suggested sample / positive control MCF7,B cells,HepG2
Key conditions For paraffin sections, optimize retrieval buffer pH, retrieval time, and primary incubation
Expected result Expected localization: GPI-anchor,Lipid-anchor,Sarcoplasmic reticulum membrane
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control
IF/ICC Conditions for IF/ICC
Recommended dilution 1:50 - 1:200
Suggested sample / positive control MCF7,B cells,HepG2
Key conditions Optimize fixation, permeabilization, and blocking, and include a secondary-only control
Expected result Expected fluorescence localization: GPI-anchor,Lipid-anchor,Sarcoplasmic reticulum membrane
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control

Target data

Background ADP-ribosyltransferase catalyzes the ADP-ribosylation of arginine residues in proteins. Mono-ADP-ribosylation is a posttranslational modification of proteins that is interfered with by a variety of bacterial toxins including cholera, pertussis, and heat-labile enterotoxins of E. coli. The amino acid sequence consists of predominantly hydrophobic N- and C-terminal regions, which is characteristic of glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored proteins. This gene was previously designated ART2.
Gene ID 417

Swiss P52961
Synonym ART1,ART2,ARTC1,CD296,RT6,ART1 Rabbit pAb,ADP-ribosyltransferase C2 and C3 toxin-like 1,Mono(ADP-ribosyl)transferase 1
Functions Has ADP-ribosyltransferase activity toward GLP1R.
