| Bioactivity | β-Galactosidase is a glycoside hydrolase that hydrolyzes the β-glycosidic bonds formed between galactose and its organic moieties. In E.coli, the lacZ gene is the structural gene of β-galactosidase, which can be used as part of the induction system lac operon. β-Galactosidase can hydrolyze lactose to form glucose and galactose, and enter glycolysis; it can also catalyze the transgalactosylation of lactose into allolactose; allolactose can be cracked into monosaccharides. |

| Intro | β-Galactosidase，即 β-半乳糖苷酶，是一种糖苷水解酶，可水解半乳糖与其有机部分之间形成的 β-糖苷键。在大肠杆菌中，lacZ 基因是 β-半乳糖苷酶的结构基因，可作为诱导系统lac操纵子的一部分。β-Galactosidase 可以水解乳糖形成葡萄糖和半乳糖，进入糖酵解；也可以催化乳糖转半乳糖基化为异乳糖；异乳糖可以裂解成单糖。 |
