Biological activity
| Bioactivity | ddGTP (2′,3′-Dideoxyguanosine 5′-triphosphate) is one of 2',3'-dideoxyribonucleoside 5'-triphosphates (ddNTPs) that acts as chain-elongating inhibitor of DNA polymerase for DNA sequencing. ddGTP acts as an inhibitor or a substrate for DNA polymerase α. |

| CAS | 68726-28-3 |
| Mol.Wt. | 491.18 |
| In vitro | ddGTP inhibits the formation of both negative and positive DNA strands. ddGTP inhibits DNA polymerase α activity in the presence of Mn[2+] at low concentrations ([2]. ddGTP competitively inhibits the incorporation of [3H]dGTP into the DNA. The accuracy of these methods have not been independently confirmed. They are for reference only. |
