Applications and conditions

Where to start

These starting conditions come from the recommended dilution, validation images, and general assay practice. Titrate for your sample and detection system.

WB Conditions for WB
Recommended dilution 1:500 - 1:2000
Suggested sample / positive control Mouse kidney,Rat ovary
Key conditions Use a fresh lysate, incubate at the recommended dilution, and check the predicted and observed molecular weight
Expected result Expected signal or band near 108kDa
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control

Target data

Background [Isoform 1]: Acts as a transcriptional repressor. Inhibits erythroid differentiation and tumor cell proliferation. Plays a role during ovarian cancer development and progression.; [Isoform 2]: Contributes to cervical carcinogenesis in part through the TNF-alpha-induced NF-kappa-B signaling pathway by interacting with the I-kappa-B-kinase (IKK core complex.
Gene ID 10795
Gene name ZNF268
Swiss Q14587
Synonym ZNF268,HZF3,ZNF268 Rabbit pAb,Zinc finger protein HZF3
Expression Overexpressed in ovarian cancer tissues compared to normal ovarian tissues. Isoform 1 and isoform 2 are expressed in squamous epithelium tissues. Isoform 2 is overexpressed in squamous cervical cancer (at protein level). Expressed in blood cells. Isoform 1 is expressed in pancreas, lung, skeletal muscle, heart, placenta, liver, kidney and brain. Isoform 2 expressed in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and several tumor cell lines. Isoform 3 is expressed in several tumor cells. Isoform 5 is expressed in fetal liver and several tumor cells. Isoform 6 is weakly expressed in brain, lung amd small intestin and in several tumor cells. Isoform 7 is expressed in fetal liver and several tumor cells.
Functions Isoform 1: Acts as a transcriptional repressor. Inhibits erythroid differentiation and tumor cell proliferation. Plays a role during ovarian cancer development and progression.
