Applications and conditions

Where to start

These starting conditions come from the recommended dilution, validation images, and general assay practice. Titrate for your sample and detection system.

WB Conditions for WB
Recommended dilution 1:500 - 1:2000
Suggested sample / positive control HeLa,LO2,A-549
Key conditions Use a fresh lysate, incubate at the recommended dilution, and check the predicted and observed molecular weight
Expected result Expected signal or band near 37kDa
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control

Target data

Background V-type immunoglobulin domain-containing suppressor of T-cell activation(VISTA) also known as platelet receptor Gi24 , stress-induced secreted protein-1 (Sisp-1) and B7
Gene ID 64115
Gene name VSIR
Swiss Q9H7M9
Synonym VSIR,B7-H5,B7H5,C10orf54,DD1alpha,GI24,PD-1H,PP2135,SISP1,VISTA,VISTA Rabbit pAb,Platelet receptor Gi24,Stress-induced secreted protein-1,V-set domain-containing immunoregulatory receptor,V-set immunoregulatory receptor
Expression Expressed in spleen. Detected on a number of myeloid cells including CD11b monocytes, CD66b+ neutrophils, at low levels on CD4+ and CD8+ T-cells, and in a subset of NK cells. Not detected on B cells (at protein level). Expressed at high levels in placenta, spleen, plasma blood leukocytes, and lung. Expressed at moderate levels in lymph node, bone marrow, fat, uterus, and trachea. Has low expression levels in other tissues.
Functions Immunoregulatory receptor which inhibits the T-cell response (PubMed:24691993). May promote differentiation of embryonic stem cells, by inhibiting BMP4 signaling (By similarity). May stimulate MMP14-mediated MMP2 activation (PubMed:20666777).
