Applications and conditions

Where to start

These starting conditions come from the recommended dilution, validation images, and general assay practice. Titrate for your sample and detection system.

WB Conditions for WB
Recommended dilution See the validation images or contact technical support
Suggested sample / positive control HeLa,HT-29
Key conditions Use a fresh lysate, incubate at the recommended dilution, and check the predicted and observed molecular weight
Expected result Expected signal or band near 33kDa
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control
IHC-P Conditions for IHC-P
Recommended dilution See the validation images or contact technical support
Suggested sample / positive control HeLa,HT-29
Key conditions For paraffin sections, optimize retrieval buffer pH, retrieval time, and primary incubation
Expected result Expected localization: Nucleus, Cytoplasm, cytosol, Endoplasmic reticulum membrane
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control
ICC/IF Conditions for ICC/IF
Recommended dilution See the validation images or contact technical support
Suggested sample / positive control HeLa,HT-29
Key conditions Optimize fixation, permeabilization, and blocking, and include a secondary-only control
Expected result Expected fluorescence localization: Nucleus, Cytoplasm, cytosol, Endoplasmic reticulum membrane
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control

Target data

Background This gene encodes a nuclear protein with 3' exonuclease activity. The encoded protein may play a role in DNA repair and serve as a proofreading function for DNA polymerase. Mutations in this gene result in Aicardi-Goutieres syndrome, chilblain lupus, Cree encephalitis, and other diseases of the immune system. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
Gene ID 11277
Gene name TREX1
Swiss Q9NSU2
Synonym TREX1 (YD11870),TREX1 (YD11870) Rabbit mAb,TREX1,3'-5' exonuclease TREX1,Deoxyribonuclease III
