Applications and conditions

Where to start

These starting conditions come from the recommended dilution, validation images, and general assay practice. Titrate for your sample and detection system.

WB Conditions for WB
Recommended dilution 1:500 - 1:2000
Suggested sample / positive control U-87MG,Mouse eye,Mouse brain
Key conditions Use a fresh lysate, incubate at the recommended dilution, and check the predicted and observed molecular weight
Expected result Expected signal or band near 76kDa
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control

Target data

Background This gene encodes a member of the poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase superfamily. Studies of the mouse ortholog have shown that the encoded protein catalyzes histone poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation and may be involved in T-cell function. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
Gene ID 25976
Gene name TIPARP
Swiss Q7Z3E1
Synonym TIPARP,ARTD14,PARP7,pART14,TIPARP Rabbit pAb,ADP-ribosyltransferase diphtheria toxin-like 14,Poly [ADP-ribose] polymerase 7,TCDD-inducible poly [ADP-ribose] polymerase
Functions Poly [ADP-ribose] polymerase using NAD+ as a substrate to transfer ADP-ribose onto glutamic acid residues of a protein acceptor; repeated rounds of ADP-ribosylation leads to the formation of poly(ADPribose) chains on the protein, thereby altering the function of the target protein. May play a role in the adaptive response to chemical exposure (TCDD) and thereby mediates certain effects of the chemicals (By similarity).
