Applications and conditions

Where to start

These starting conditions come from the recommended dilution, validation images, and general assay practice. Titrate for your sample and detection system.

WB Conditions for WB
Recommended dilution 1:500 - 1:2000
Suggested sample / positive control 293T
Key conditions Use a fresh lysate, incubate at the recommended dilution, and check the predicted and observed molecular weight
Expected result Expected signal or band near 260kDa
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control

Immunogen

Target data

Background The protein encoded by this gene is found almost exclusively in endothelial cells from placenta and umbilical cord. The encoded protein appears to interact with alpha(V)beta(3) integrin and paxillin to inhibit endothelial cell migration and tube formation. This protein may be involved in cytoskeletal organization. Variations in this gene may be associated with low bone mineral density in osteoporosis.
Gene ID 221981
Gene name THSD7A
Swiss Q9UPZ6
Synonym THSD7A,THSD7A Rabbit pAb,KIAA0960
Expression Detected on kidney podocytes along the glomerular capillary wall (at protein level).
Functions The soluble form promotes endothelial cell migration and filopodia formationduring angiogenesis via a FAK-dependent mechanism.
