Applications and conditions

Where to start

These starting conditions come from the recommended dilution, validation images, and general assay practice. Titrate for your sample and detection system.

WB Conditions for WB
Recommended dilution See the validation images or contact technical support
Suggested sample / positive control 无明确组织表达
Key conditions Use a fresh lysate, incubate at the recommended dilution, and check the predicted and observed molecular weight
Expected result Expected signal or band near 59kDa/64kDa
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control
ICC/IF Conditions for ICC/IF
Recommended dilution See the validation images or contact technical support
Suggested sample / positive control 无明确组织表达
Key conditions Optimize fixation, permeabilization, and blocking, and include a secondary-only control
Expected result Expected fluorescence localization: Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control

Target data

Background Cofactor E is one of four proteins (cofactors A, D, E, and C) involved in the pathway leading to correctly folded beta-tubulin from folding intermediates. Cofactors A and D are believed to play a role in capturing and stabilizing beta-tubulin intermediates in a quasi-native confirmation. Cofactor E binds to the cofactor D/beta-tubulin complex; interaction with cofactor C then causes the release of beta-tubulin polypeptides that are committed to the native state. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene.
Gene ID 6905
Gene name TBCE
Swiss Q15813
Synonym TBCE,HRD,KCS,KCS1,PEAMO,pac2,TBCE Rabbit pAb,Tubulin-folding cofactor E
Functions Tubulin-folding protein; involved in the second step of the tubulin folding pathway and in the regulation of tubulin heterodimer dissociation. Required for correct organization of microtubule cytoskeleton and mitotic splindle, and maintenance of the neuronal microtubule network.
