Where to start

These starting conditions come from the recommended dilution, validation images, and general assay practice. Titrate for your sample and detection system.

WB Conditions for WB
Recommended dilution 1:500 - 1:2000
Suggested sample / positive control MCF7,HL-60,HepG2,HeLa,Jurkat,Rat testis,Rat heart
Key conditions Use a fresh lysate, incubate at the recommended dilution, and check the predicted and observed molecular weight
Expected result Expected signal or band near 13kDa
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control
IHC Conditions for IHC
Recommended dilution 1:50 - 1:200
Suggested sample / positive control MCF7,HL-60,HepG2,HeLa,Jurkat,Rat testis,Rat heart
Key conditions For paraffin sections, optimize retrieval buffer pH, retrieval time, and primary incubation
Expected result Expected localization: Cytoplasm,Nucleus,cytosol
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control

Target data

Background The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the small nuclear ribonucleoprotein core protein family. It is required for pre-mRNA splicing and small nuclear ribonucleoprotein biogenesis. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
Gene ID 6633
Gene name SNRPD2
Swiss P62316
Synonym SNRPD2,SMD2,SNRPD1,Sm-D2,SNRPD2 Rabbit pAb,snRNP core protein D2
Functions Core component of the spliceosomal U1, U2, U4 and U5 small nuclear ribonucleoproteins (snRNPs), the building blocks of the spliceosome. Thereby, plays an important role in the splicing of cellular pre-mRNAs. Most spliceosomal snRNPs contain a common set of Sm proteins SNRPB, SNRPD1, SNRPD2, SNRPD3, SNRPE, SNRPF and SNRPG that assemble in a heptameric protein ring on the Sm site of the small nuclear RNA to form the core snRNP.
