Applications and conditions

Where to start

These starting conditions come from the recommended dilution, validation images, and general assay practice. Titrate for your sample and detection system.

WB Conditions for WB
Recommended dilution 1:1000-1:3000
Suggested sample / positive control LO2,HeLa,Jurkat
Key conditions Use a fresh lysate, incubate at the recommended dilution, and check the predicted and observed molecular weight
Expected result Expected signal or band near 80kD
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control
IHC Conditions for IHC
Recommended dilution 1:100-1:800
Suggested sample / positive control LO2,HeLa,Jurkat
Key conditions For paraffin sections, optimize retrieval buffer pH, retrieval time, and primary incubation
Expected result Expected localization: Cell membrane, Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, Cleavage furrow, Cell projection, microvillus, stereocilium
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control
IF Conditions for IF
Recommended dilution 1:100-1:800
Suggested sample / positive control LO2,HeLa,Jurkat
Key conditions Optimize fixation, permeabilization, and blocking, and include a secondary-only control
Expected result Expected fluorescence localization: Cell membrane, Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, Cleavage furrow, Cell projection, microvillus, stereocilium
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control
IP Conditions for IP
Recommended dilution 1:50-1:200
Suggested sample / positive control LO2,HeLa,Jurkat
Key conditions Start at the recommended dilution and titrate for your sample and assay
Expected result Expected signal or band near 80kD
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control
ELISA Conditions for ELISA
Recommended dilution 1:5000-1:20000
Suggested sample / positive control LO2,HeLa,Jurkat
Key conditions Start at the recommended dilution and titrate for your sample and assay
Expected result Expected signal or band near 80kD

Target data

Background Radixin is a cytoskeletal protein that may be important in linking actin to the plasma membrane. It is highly similar in sequence to both ezrin and moesin. The radixin gene has been localized by fluorescence in situ hybridization to 11q23. A truncated version representing a pseudogene (RDXP2) was assigned to Xp21.3. Another pseudogene that seemed to lack introns (RDXP1) was mapped to 11p by Southern and PCR analyses. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
Gene ID 5962
Gene name RDX
Swiss P35241
Synonym RDX;Radixin;RDX;Radixin
