Applications and conditions

Where to start

These starting conditions come from the recommended dilution, validation images, and general assay practice. Titrate for your sample and detection system.

WB Conditions for WB
Recommended dilution 1:500 - 1:2000
Suggested sample / positive control Jurkat,MCF7,LO2,293T
Key conditions Use a fresh lysate, incubate at the recommended dilution, and check the predicted and observed molecular weight
Expected result Expected signal or band near 105kDa
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control

Immunogen

Target data

Background This gene encodes a nuclear protein that belongs to a family proteins that contain an RNA-binding motif. The encoded protein associates with hnRNP proteins and may be involved in regulating alternative splicing. Defects in this gene are the cause of the X-linked recessive disorder, TARP syndrome. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
Gene ID 8241
Gene name RBM10
Swiss P98175
Synonym RBM10,DXS8237E,GPATC9,GPATCH9,S1-1,TARPS,ZRANB5,RBM10 Rabbit pAb,G patch domain-containing protein 9,RNA-binding motif protein 10,RNA-binding protein S1-1,KIAA0122
Functions May be involved in post-transcriptional processing, most probably in mRNA splicing. Binds to RNA homopolymers, with a preference for poly(G) and poly(U) and little for poly(A) (By similarity). May bind to specific miRNA hairpins (PubMed:28431233).
