Applications and conditions

Where to start

These starting conditions come from the recommended dilution, validation images, and general assay practice. Titrate for your sample and detection system.

WB Conditions for WB
Recommended dilution 1:500 - 1:2000
Suggested sample / positive control Mouse pancreas,Mouse testis
Key conditions Use a fresh lysate, incubate at the recommended dilution, and check the predicted and observed molecular weight
Expected result Expected signal or band near 85kDa
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control

Target data

Background
Gene ID 169714
Gene name QSOX2
Swiss Q6ZRP7
Synonym QSOX2,QSCN6L1,SOXN,QSOX2 Rabbit pAb,Neuroblastoma-derived sulfhydryl oxidase,Quiescin Q6-like protein 1
Expression Expressed in pancreas, brain, placenta, kidney, heart and fetal tissues. Weakly expressed in lung, liver and skeletal muscles.
Functions Catalyzes the oxidation of sulfhydryl groups in peptide and protein thiols to disulfides with the reduction of oxygen to hydrogen peroxide. May contribute to disulfide bond formation in a variety of secreted proteins. Also seems to play a role in regulating the sensitization of neuroblastoma cells for interferon-gamma-induced apoptosis.
