Applications and conditions

Where to start

These starting conditions come from the recommended dilution, validation images, and general assay practice. Titrate for your sample and detection system.

WB Conditions for WB
Recommended dilution 1:500 - 1:2000
Suggested sample / positive control K-562,293T,MCF7
Key conditions Use a fresh lysate, incubate at the recommended dilution, and check the predicted and observed molecular weight
Expected result Expected signal or band near 39kDa
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control
IHC Conditions for IHC
Recommended dilution 1:50 - 1:200
Suggested sample / positive control K-562,293T,MCF7
Key conditions For paraffin sections, optimize retrieval buffer pH, retrieval time, and primary incubation
Expected result Expected localization: Nucleus
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control

Target data

Background The protein encoded by this gene is a subunit of both RNA polymerase I and RNA polymerase III complexes. The encoded protein is part of the Pol core element. Mutations in this gene have been associated with Treacher Collins syndrome (TCS) and hypomyelinating leukodystrophy 11. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
Gene ID 9533
Gene name POLR1C
Swiss O15160
Synonym POLR1C,AC40,HLD11,RPA39,RPA40,RPA5,RPAC1,RPC40,TCS3,POLR1C Rabbit pAb,DNA-directed RNA polymerases I and III 40 kDa polypeptide,POLR1E
Functions DNA-dependent RNA polymerase catalyzes the transcription of DNA into RNA using the four ribonucleoside triphosphates as substrates. Common component of RNA polymerases I and III which synthesize ribosomal RNA precursors and small RNAs, such as 5S rRNA and tRNAs, respectively. RPAC1 is part of the Pol core element with the central large cleft and probably a clamp element that moves to open and close the cleft (By similarity).
