| In vitro | To prepare the pH PIPES buffer, 173 g of 1,4-piperazinediethanesulfonic acid are dissolved into 1 L of deionized water. The pH of the PIPES buffer is adjusted to 6.8 by adding pellets of sodium hydroxide. PIPES disodium can be used to PIPES buffer, it can prevent the glutaraldehyde fixation induced lipid loss and artifacts. The accuracy of these methods have not been independently confirmed. They are for reference only. |
