Applications and conditions

Where to start

These starting conditions come from the recommended dilution, validation images, and general assay practice. Titrate for your sample and detection system.

WB Conditions for WB
Recommended dilution 1:500-1:2000
Suggested sample / positive control Mouse bone marrow
Key conditions Use a fresh lysate, incubate at the recommended dilution, and check the predicted and observed molecular weight
Expected result Expected signal or band near 22kD-25kD
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control
IHC Conditions for IHC
Recommended dilution 1:100-1:300
Suggested sample / positive control Mouse bone marrow
Key conditions For paraffin sections, optimize retrieval buffer pH, retrieval time, and primary incubation
Expected result Expected localization: Secreted. Cytoplasmic granule.
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control

Target data

Background
Gene ID 8993
Gene name PGLYRP1
Swiss O75594
Synonym PGLYRP1 ; PGLYRP ; PGRP
Research area Pattern receptor that binds to murein peptidoglycans (PGN) of Gram-positive bacteria. Has bactericidal activity towards Gram-positive bacteria. May kill Gram-positive bacteria by interfering with peptidoglycan biosynthesis. Binds also to Gram-negative bacteria, and has bacteriostatic activity towards Gram-negative bacteria. Plays a role in innate immunity.
