Applications and conditions

Where to start

These starting conditions come from the recommended dilution, validation images, and general assay practice. Titrate for your sample and detection system.

WB Conditions for WB
Recommended dilution 1:500 - 1:2000
Suggested sample / positive control 293T,U-87MG
Key conditions Use a fresh lysate, incubate at the recommended dilution, and check the predicted and observed molecular weight
Expected result Expected signal or band near 45KDa
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control

Immunogen

Target data

Background Key regulator of mitochondrial calcium uniporter (MCU required to limit calcium uptake by MCU when cytoplasmic calcium is low. MICU1 and MICU2 form a disulfide-linked heterodimer that stimulate and inhibit MCU activity, depending on the concentration of calcium. MICU2 acts as a gatekeeper of MCU that senses calcium level via its EF-hand domains: prevents channel opening at resting calcium, avoiding energy dissipation and cell-death triggering.
Gene ID 221154
Gene name MICU2
Swiss Q8IYU8
Synonym MICU2,1110008L20Rik,EFHA1,MICU2 Rabbit pAb,EF-hand domain-containing family member A1
Functions Key regulator of mitochondrial calcium uniporter (MCU) required to limit calcium uptake by MCU when cytoplasmic calcium is low (PubMed:24503055, PubMed:24560927, PubMed:26903221).
