Applications and conditions

Where to start

These starting conditions come from the recommended dilution, validation images, and general assay practice. Titrate for your sample and detection system.

WB Conditions for WB
Recommended dilution See the validation images or contact technical support
Suggested sample / positive control Skeletal muscle
Key conditions Use a fresh lysate, incubate at the recommended dilution, and check the predicted and observed molecular weight
Expected result Expected signal or band near 41kDa
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control
ICC/IF Conditions for ICC/IF
Recommended dilution See the validation images or contact technical support
Suggested sample / positive control Skeletal muscle
Key conditions Optimize fixation, permeabilization, and blocking, and include a secondary-only control
Expected result Expected fluorescence localization: Cytoplasm, Nucleus
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control
IP Conditions for IP
Recommended dilution See the validation images or contact technical support
Suggested sample / positive control Skeletal muscle
Key conditions Start at the recommended dilution and titrate for your sample and assay
Expected result Expected signal or band near 41kDa
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control

Target data

Background Transcriptional cofactor that restricts GATA6 function by inhibiting DNA-binding, resulting in repression of GATA6 transcriptional activation of downstream target genes. Represses GATA6-mediated trans activation of lung- and cardiac tissue-specific promoters. Inhibits DNA-binding by GATA4 and GATA1 to the cTNC promoter (By similarity). Plays a critical role in the development of cardiac hypertrophy via activation of calcineurin/nuclear factor of activated T-cells signaling pathway
Gene ID 29995
Gene name LMCD1
Swiss Q9NZU5
Synonym LMCD1 (YD16816),LMCD1 (YD16816) Rabbit mAb,LMCD1,Dyxin
