Applications and conditions

Where to start

These starting conditions come from the recommended dilution, validation images, and general assay practice. Titrate for your sample and detection system.

WB Conditions for WB
Recommended dilution 1:1000-1:3000
Suggested sample / positive control PC-12,HepG2,Mouse lung
Key conditions Use a fresh lysate, incubate at the recommended dilution, and check the predicted and observed molecular weight
Expected result Expected signal or band near 133kD
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control
IF Conditions for IF
Recommended dilution 1:100-1:800
Suggested sample / positive control PC-12,HepG2,Mouse lung
Key conditions Optimize fixation, permeabilization, and blocking, and include a secondary-only control
Expected result Expected fluorescence localization: Endomembrane system
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control
ELISA Conditions for ELISA
Recommended dilution 1:5000-1:20000
Suggested sample / positive control PC-12,HepG2,Mouse lung
Key conditions Start at the recommended dilution and titrate for your sample and assay
Expected result Expected signal or band near 133kD
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control

Target data

Background This gene encodes a membrane protein that is a member of a class of protein-tyrosine kinases (PTK) characterized by the presence of a second phosphotransferase-related domain immediately N-terminal to the PTK domain. The encoded kinase phosphorylates STAT proteins (signal transducers and activators of transcription) and plays a key role in interferon-alpha/beta and interferon-gamma signal transduction. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
Gene ID 3716
Gene name JAK1 JAK1A JAK1B
Swiss P23458
Synonym JAK1 JAK1A JAK1B;Tyrosine-protein kinase JAK1;Tyrosine-protein kinase JAK1;Janus kinase 1;JAK-1;
