Applications and conditions

Where to start

These starting conditions come from the recommended dilution, validation images, and general assay practice. Titrate for your sample and detection system.

WB Conditions for WB
Recommended dilution 1:500 - 1:2000
Suggested sample / positive control LO2
Key conditions Use a fresh lysate, incubate at the recommended dilution, and check the predicted and observed molecular weight
Expected result Expected signal or band near 27kDa
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control

Immunogen

Immunogen A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 100 to the C-terminus of human HTATIP2 (NP_006401.3).

Target data

Background Oxidoreductase required for tumor suppression. NAPDH-bound form inhibits nuclear import by competing with nuclear import substrates for binding to a subset of nuclear transport receptors. May act as a redox sensor linked to transcription through regulation of nuclear import. Isoform 1 is a metastasis suppressor with proapoptotic as well as antiangiogenic properties. Isoform 2 has an antiapoptotic effect.
Gene ID 10553
Gene name HTATIP2
Swiss Q9BUP3
Synonym HTATIP2,CC3,SDR44U1,TIP30,HTATIP2 Rabbit pAb,30 kDa HIV-1 TAT-interacting protein,HIV-1 TAT-interactive protein 2
Expression Ubiquitous. Highest level in liver. High levels in lung, skeletal muscle, pancreas and placenta. Moderate levels in heart and kidney. Low levels in brain. Not expressed or low levels in variant small cell lung carcinomas, 33% of hepatocellular carcinomas and neuroblastomas.
