Applications and conditions

Where to start

These starting conditions come from the recommended dilution, validation images, and general assay practice. Titrate for your sample and detection system.

WB Conditions for WB
Recommended dilution 1:500 - 1:2000
Suggested sample / positive control Mouse kidney
Key conditions Use a fresh lysate, incubate at the recommended dilution, and check the predicted and observed molecular weight
Expected result Expected signal or band near 57kDa
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control
IP Conditions for IP
Recommended dilution 1:20 - 1:50
Suggested sample / positive control Mouse kidney
Key conditions Start at the recommended dilution and titrate for your sample and assay
Expected result Expected signal or band near 57kDa
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control
FC Conditions for FC
Recommended dilution 1:20 - 1:50
Suggested sample / positive control Mouse kidney
Key conditions For intracellular targets, optimize fixation and permeabilization, and include an isotype control
Expected result Expect the positive population to shift relative to the negative or isotype control
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control

Target data

Background
Gene ID 10818
Gene name FRS2
Swiss Q8WU20
Synonym FRS2,FRS2 Rabbit mAb,FGFR-signaling adaptor SNT,Suc1-associated neurotrophic factor target 1
Expression Highly expressed in heart, brain, spleen, lung, liver, skeletal muscle, kidney and testis.
Functions Adapter protein that links activated FGR and NGF receptors to downstream signaling pathways. Plays an important role in the activation of MAP kinases and in the phosphorylation of PIK3R1, the regulatory subunit of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase, in response to ligand-mediated activation of FGFR1. Modulates signaling via SHC1 by competing for a common binding site on NTRK1.
