Applications and conditions

Where to start

These starting conditions come from the recommended dilution, validation images, and general assay practice. Titrate for your sample and detection system.

WB Conditions for WB
Recommended dilution 1:500 - 1:2000
Suggested sample / positive control NIH/3T3,Mouse brain,Mouse thymus
Key conditions Use a fresh lysate, incubate at the recommended dilution, and check the predicted and observed molecular weight
Expected result Expected signal or band near 28kDa
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control
IHC Conditions for IHC
Recommended dilution 1:50 - 1:200
Suggested sample / positive control NIH/3T3,Mouse brain,Mouse thymus
Key conditions For paraffin sections, optimize retrieval buffer pH, retrieval time, and primary incubation
Expected result Expected localization: cytoplasm,cytosol,neuron projection,nucleus,plasma membrane,ripoptosome
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control

Target data

Background Apoptotic adaptor molecule that recruits caspase-8 or caspase-10 to the activated Fas (CD95 or TNFR-1 receptors. The resulting aggregate called the death-inducing signaling complex (DISC performs caspase-8 proteolytic activation. Active caspase-8 initiates the subsequent cascade of caspases mediating apoptosis. Involved in interferon-mediated antiviral immune response, playing a role in the positive regulation of interferon signaling.
Gene ID 14082
Gene name Fadd
Swiss Q61160
Synonym FADD,FADD Rabbit mAb,FAS-associating death domain-containing protein,Mediator of receptor induced toxicity,Mort1
