Applications and conditions

Where to start

These starting conditions come from the recommended dilution, validation images, and general assay practice. Titrate for your sample and detection system.

WB Conditions for WB
Recommended dilution 1:500 - 1:2000
Suggested sample / positive control Mouse testis,Mouse liver
Key conditions Use a fresh lysate, incubate at the recommended dilution, and check the predicted and observed molecular weight
Expected result Expected signal or band near 68kDa
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control
ELISA Conditions for ELISA
Recommended dilution See the validation images or contact technical support
Suggested sample / positive control Mouse testis,Mouse liver
Key conditions Start at the recommended dilution and titrate for your sample and assay
Expected result Expected signal or band near 68kDa
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control

Target data

Background Elongation factor component of the super elongation complex (SEC, a complex required to increase the catalytic rate of RNA polymerase II transcription by suppressing transient pausing by the polymerase at multiple sites along the DNA. Elongation factor component of the little elongation complex (LEC, a complex required to regulate small nuclear RNA (snRNA gene transcription by RNA polymerase II and III. Specifically required for stimulating the elongation step of RNA polymerase II- and III-dependent snRNA gene transcription. ELL also plays an early role before its assembly into in the SEC complex by stabilizing RNA polymerase II recruitment/initiation and entry into the pause site. Required to stabilize the pre-initiation complex and early elongation.
Gene ID 8178
Gene name ELL
Swiss P55199
Synonym ELL,C19orf17,ELL1,MEN,PPP1R68,ELL Antibody,Eleven-nineteen lysine-rich leukemia protein
Expression Expressed in all tissues tested. Highest levels found in placenta, skeletal muscle, testis and peripheral blood leukocytes.
