Where to start

These starting conditions come from the recommended dilution, validation images, and general assay practice. Titrate for your sample and detection system.

WB Conditions for WB
Recommended dilution 1:500 - 1:2000
Suggested sample / positive control HeLa,Jurkat,Molt-4,SK-BR-3
Key conditions Use a fresh lysate, incubate at the recommended dilution, and check the predicted and observed molecular weight
Expected result Expected signal or band near 13kDa/28kDa/82kDa
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control
ELISA Conditions for ELISA
Recommended dilution See the validation images or contact technical support

Target data

Background The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the eukaryotic diacylglycerol kinase family. It acts as a modulator that competes with protein kinase C for the second messenger diacylglycerol in intracellular signaling pathways. It also plays an important role in the resynthesis of phosphatidylinositols and phosphorylating diacylglycerol to phosphatidic acid. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene.
Gene ID 1606
Gene name DGKA
Swiss P23743
Synonym DGKA,DAGK,DAGK1,DGK-alpha,DGKA Antibody,80 kDa diacylglycerol kinase,Diglyceride kinase alpha
Expression Expressed in lymphocytes.
Functions Upon cell stimulation converts the second messenger diacylglycerol into phosphatidate, initiating the resynthesis of phosphatidylinositols and attenuating protein kinase C activity.
