Applications and conditions

Where to start

These starting conditions come from the recommended dilution, validation images, and general assay practice. Titrate for your sample and detection system.

WB Conditions for WB
Recommended dilution 1:500 - 1:1000
Suggested sample / positive control HeLa,Jurkat,K-562
Key conditions Use a fresh lysate, incubate at the recommended dilution, and check the predicted and observed molecular weight
Expected result Expected signal or band near 145kDa
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control

Target data

Background This gene encodes a centrosome and spindle pole associated protein. The encoded protein plays a role in cell-cycle progression and spindle organization, regulates cytokinesis, interacts with Nephrocystin 8 and is required for cilia formation. Mutations in this gene result in primary cilia abnormalities and classical Joubert syndrome. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene.
Gene ID 79848
Gene name CSPP1
Swiss Q1MSJ5
Synonym CSPP1,CSPP,JBTS21,CSPP1 Rabbit pAb
Expression Expressed in adult and fetal brain with enrichment in the cerebellum. Detected in testis.
Functions May play a role in cell-cycle-dependent microtubule organization.
