Applications and conditions

Where to start

These starting conditions come from the recommended dilution, validation images, and general assay practice. Titrate for your sample and detection system.

WB Conditions for WB
Recommended dilution 1:500 - 1:2000
Suggested sample / positive control SH-SY5Y,Mouse testis,Rat testis
Key conditions Use a fresh lysate, incubate at the recommended dilution, and check the predicted and observed molecular weight
Expected result Expected signal or band near 61kDa
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control
IHC Conditions for IHC
Recommended dilution 1:50 - 1:200
Suggested sample / positive control SH-SY5Y,Mouse testis,Rat testis
Key conditions For paraffin sections, optimize retrieval buffer pH, retrieval time, and primary incubation
Expected result Expected localization: Cytoplasm
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control
IP Conditions for IP
Recommended dilution 1:20 - 1:50
Suggested sample / positive control SH-SY5Y,Mouse testis,Rat testis
Key conditions Start at the recommended dilution and titrate for your sample and assay
Expected result Expected signal or band near 61kDa
Controls Include a positive sample, a negative sample, and a secondary or isotype control

Target data

Background This gene encodes a member of the CRMP (collapsing response mediator protein) family thought to be involved in neural development. Antibodies to the encoded protein were found in some patients with neurologic symptoms who had paraneoplastic syndrome. A pseudogene of this gene is found on chromosome 11. Multiple alternatively spliced variants, encoding the same protein, have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2011]

Gene name DPYSL5
Swiss Q9BPU6
Synonym CRMP5,CRMP5 Rabbit mAb,DPYSL5,CRMP3-associated molecule,Collapsin response mediator protein 5,UNC33-like phosphoprotein 6,ULIP6
Functions May have a function in neuronal differentiation and/or axon growth.
